    * Tata Steel has become the first company in the country to develop a plant to capture Carbon Dioxide (CO-2) released from Blast Furnace (BF) gas. It will collect 5 tonnes of carbon per day from the blast furnace gas, which will be used again. Tata is the first steel maker in the country to adopt the technology of direct carbon capture from blast furnace gas.
